At the Albion on Casterton Race Day Weekend, Manager was very flustered with room bookings, didnt acknowledge guests at all. Made us feel that we where a burden, stayed for 2 nights could not believe that you had to drink from plastic glasses from 6.00pm when drinking in the bar. Stayed there a year ago cannot get over the difference in management, current manager tries to run it like a Melbourne nightclub....the amazing country feeling has gone from this historic hotel....what a shame..
Was extremely shocked by the way the Manager and staff spoke to their guests.It made me feel that they had no respect and was not prepared to listen to paying patrons. I was apalled by the way you have to drink from plastic glasses from 6.30pm, REALLY not even the Hotels in Geelong do that....its a country hotel....have a bit more faith.
A nice place to stay. A little cool in the early spring, but the staff made sure we stayed plenty warm. Communal bathrooms were just down the hall. A historic building to stay in.
We stayed in a Hotel room for the night. Arrived late and staff went out of their way to accommodate us. Room good value for money. Small. Clean. Quiet. Well presented. Shared bathrooms were clean too. While this establishment is dated it is clean and well presented and gave us a cheap option for the night right in the middle of town. Couldn't have asked for more. Can't wait to come back once it's renovated.
